The works of the Pîr

The biographer Kasım Samarrâî lists fifteen works attributed to Sayyid Ahmad al-Rifāʿī, from Kâtip Çelebi's Kashf al-ẓunūn and the writings of Abu'l-Hudā al-Ṣayyādī. Most, he writes, were lost when the Mongols took Baghdad.

Attribution. The scholarly literature separates works the Pîr wrote from discourses his followers collected, such as al-Burhān al-muʾayyad. A work listed under his name in a later book is not always one he wrote himself.
